Rep. Williams Resolution Condemning Housing Illegal Immigrants In Taxpayer Funded Schools PASSES

Rep. Brandon Williams resolution, condemning the housing of illegal immigrants in taxpayer funded schools, has PASSED in the U.S. House of Representatives.

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Brandon Williams (NY-22), voted to PASS resolution H.Res.461 with Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, condemning the housing of illegal immigrants in taxpayer funded schools and facilities. Rep. Williams is the original co-sponsor of this resolution.

The Resolution (H.Res.461) makes three distinct points:
  • Housing illegal immigrants in our schools diverts critical resources away from students
  • Housing adult, unvetted illegal immigrants in our public schools poses a safety risk to our children
  • Schools are not to be the sacrificial lamb for the failed Progressive alert policies of this administration
Rep. Williams gave a speech on the House Floor in support of this resolution, watch here.

“With the passage of my resolution, this Congress agrees that we will not tolerate officials at the state and local level using taxpayer funded schools and facilities to play cleanup for President Biden and the progressive-left’s broken border policies,” said Congressman Brandon Williams. “Just last week, my colleagues on the other side of the aisle repeatedly justified the housing of illegal immigrants in public schools, comparing it to the response to natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes, and fires. I couldn’t agree more, the President’s border policies are a disaster, though man-made.”
