Rep. Williams Honors Rear Admiral Brian Davies

WASHINGTONToday, Congressman Brandon Williams (NY-22), honored Rear Admiral Brian Davies on the House Floor. Davies' distinguished career as a nuclear submarine warfare officer was that of dedication and service to his country. He passed away on December 30th.

Rear Admiral Davies was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he commanded our most secret and decorated submarine, the USS Jimmy Carter, and later commanded a submarine squadron. His service took him under the Arctic, the Western Pacific, the Northern Atlantic, and the Indian Oceans.

“I honor Admiral Davies full life and dutiful service. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Brian commanded our most secret and decorated submarine, the USS Jimmy Carter, and later commanded a submarine squadron,” said Congressman Brandon Williams. “I ask that our nation also remember Brian’s shipmates, who continue to sacrifice so much for our nation, in silence. And I would ask that we honor and remember Brian’s wife, Kacey, and their daughter, Caitlin, who endured with courage the many hardships of his time with the Navy, and who now mourn the loss of his honorable life."
