Rep. Williams Announces $138,300 USDA Rural Development Grant in Onondaga County

WASHINGTON — Congressman Brandon Williams (NY-22) announced the approval of a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development in the amount of $138,300 to Syracuse University to provide technical assistance and training for water resources management in rural communities.

This program will include technical training and individualized assistance for rural communities, focusing on integrated water, wastewater, storm-water, and rural infrastructure planning, using models for sustainable economic development through infrastructure finance, watershed management, flood and drought resiliency, and disaster preparedness.
