Rep. Williams Holds Unprecedented Number Of Town Halls

Rep. Brandon Williams becomes the most accessible Representative our district has had in over a decade.

Washington, DCCongressman Brandon Williams (NY-22) has officially hosted more town hall events than all former congressional representatives for Central New York and the Mohawk Valley. Three additional town halls are currently scheduled. While previous representatives have hosted in-person town halls, their formats generally were formatted to discuss specific topics and were not usually open forum. Often, they were by invite-only or through a lottery system.

“In his first 3-months representing New York’s 22nd congressional district, Rep. Williams has hosted more in-person and open forum town hall events than any representative serving Central New York and the Mohawk Valley, spanning more than a decade of representation,” said Taylor Weyeneth, communications director for Rep. Brandon Williams. “Rep. Williams remains committed to providing an opportunity for constituents of Central New York and the Mohawk Valley to be heard, listened to, and receive direct answers to the questions most important to them.”

*This information is sourced from public postings of public town halls hosted by former Representatives through their official accounts. These numbers do not include town hall events that were specific to issue areas; such as veterans town hall, seniors town hall, etc.

Brandon Williams is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for New York’s 22nd Congressional District. Brandon is a naval veteran, having served as a Nuclear Submarine Officer, is an entrepreneur, and a devoted husband and father.
