WASHINGTON — Congressman Brandon Williams (NY-22) released the following statement in response to Governor Kathy Hochul’s misguided comment on not meeting with the Congressman until voting for the Biden Re-Election Bill:

“Governor Hochul is doing everything possible not to point the finger at herself. I’ll meet with her when she stops sanctuary status in our state, when she ends cashless bail, when she actually prosecutes people that attack cops, when she fires Alvin Bragg for his dereliction of duty.

“It is absolutely outrageous for her to talk about the border and migrant crisis when she is the one who created the conditions to be a magnet for people to overwhelm our state and our systems. She does not want to talk about the border and immigration because it all points right back at her.”
