Hi Folks!
This past week I remained in DC for votes, but faced some speed bumps along the way. The doctors are pleased with the pace of my recovery following my procedure, however, a localized but serious infection took hold on Wednesday which required immediate treatment and prevented me from fulfilling my House duties for the remainder of the week.
The medical team at George Washington University Hospital placed me on an IV antibiotic treatment, self-administered in my apartment. I remain on the expected path towards recovery, even with this slight complication. I am eager and impatient to get back to work, loving and serving NY-22.
While recovering, I wanted to share what my office has been up to this past week: - Letter To Biden Admin On Critical Minerals
- Hosted Energy Innovation Showcase
- Thanked NY-22 Interns
- Called For Hiring Veterans
- Celebrated Amelia Earhart Day
- Congratulated Turning Stone On 30 Years

A Message from Rep. Brandon Williams:
Our 22nd Congressional District encompasses all of Oneida, Madison, and Onondaga counties, and a sliver of Oswego County. As always, I am working to support families in CNY and the Mohawk Valley, improve our local infrastructure, grow manufacturing, and rein-in energy costs through common sense engineering and business practices. As a Navy Veteran, I stand with and for our veterans. I am protecting Social Security and Medicare for our elderly, and I always speak up for our law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders.

We can't rely on adversaries like China for minerals critical to the American economy. Our government, for the sake of national security and economic prosperity, needs to support domestic production.
As the semiconductor industry continues to grow in size and influence, it is more important than ever that we secure American access to the fundamental resources needed for chip manufacturing. This can't be done without a robust supply of domestically sourced critical minerals.
Joined by my colleagues, we sent a letter to the Biden Administration to bolster American mining and mineral processing. Read the full letter, here.

As the Energy Subcommittee Chairman of the House Space, Science, and Technology Committee, I am fighting everyday to accelerate our adoption of advanced nuclear energy.
Just over a week ago, it was an honor to host the amazing programs ARPA-E is working on.

On Intern Appreciation Day, I took the opportunity to thank all of NY-22's current and past interns for everything they do to serve the people of CNY and the Mohawk Valley. Being an intern is hard work, but our current class have done exceptionally and made us all proud. I look forward to seeing all of the good they will continue to do on behalf of our region and our nation.
Interested in interning? My office is seeking college-age interns for my Syracuse and Utica offices for this fall. Apply here: bit.ly/ny22intern

Last week, we celebrated Hire-A-Veteran Day!
As a Navy Veteran and member of the House Education and Workforce Committee, I strongly believe our armed forces produce some of the most capable workers out there and have much to offer for our nation's workforce.
