Hi Folks!
I'm proud to announce that our office passed two bills this week alone. It's an honor to advocate for CNY families in Congress, and I'm going to keep doing so in every way I can. We're going to keep moving the needle on important policy objectives and faithfully perform the People's business, as is our duty.
Here is a snapshot of what I've been doing this week: - Released my plan to protect American consumers and unleash American Energy
- Constituent Services update
- Hosted Dr. Donna DeSiato on Capitol Hill
- Spoke with Syracuse University Chancellor Kent Syverud
- Cosponsored the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act
- Voted to pass the Impeachment Inquiry Resolution
- Led the New York Delegation in writing Secretary Raimondo to support Micron for CHIPS Act funding
- Worked with Rep. González on issues related to the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee

A Message from Rep. Brandon Williams:
Our 22nd Congressional District encompasses all of Oneida, Madison, and Onondaga counties, and a sliver of Oswego County. As always, I am working to support families in CNY and the Mohawk Valley, improve our local infrastructure, grow manufacturing, and rein-in energy costs through common sense engineering and business practices. As a Navy Veteran, I stand with and for our veterans. I am protecting Social Security and Medicare for our elderly, and I always speak up for our law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders.

This past week, I unveiled my Energy Investment plan at COP28, an energy and climate conference in the United Arab Emirates. It can be summarized in five major points: Abundant domestic energy that is affordable for working families Responsible protections for people, land, wildlife, and water Domestic supply chains that support a diverse mix of energy sources Energy policy that strengthens America’s standing in the world Energy investments that keep the lights on for our homes and industry
I'm doing everything I can to promote common-sense energy investment that works for Americans while addressing climate needs. The full report can be found here.

Our Constituent Services teams in Syracuse and Utica continue to do excellent work for the people of Central New York and the Mohawk Valley. This year alone, here is what they have accomplished, by the numbers:
Cases Completed for Veterans: 96 Passports Cases Closed: 166 Social Security Cases Closed: 93 IRS Cases Closed: 107 Funds Brought Back to the District: $3,713,081.81
As always, if you are in need with federal agencies, my office is ready to help. Our office is the place to go when you need help with federal agencies. One of my highest priorities as your Representative is providing free, timely services to New York families that are dealing with federal agencies and programs such as the IRS, Social Security, the VA, Medicare, Immigration, and the U.S. Postal Service.

I was honored to have Dr. DeSiato as a guest in my Washington, D.C. Office this week. Her commitment to excellence in STEM education is inspiring, and our district's students are better for the diligent work she does.

I appreciated talking with Syracuse University Chancellor Syverud about the issue of rising antisemitism on college campuses. I believe we are on the same page in standing up to this growing threat and placing hatred like this in the dustbin of history, where it belongs.

I just voted to pass the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act (H.R. 1147), which I co-sponsored. I applaud its passage and thank the House for coming together to get this bill across the finish line for our youth!

It is a sad day when Congress must initiate an inquiry like this, but the American people have an important (and unanswered) question:
"Is Joe Biden a crook?"
This inquiry will help us get the answers the American people deserve, and it will prevent the Biden Administration from stonewalling investigations any further.

On December 12, I led the New York Delegation in sending a letter to Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo in support of Micron for CHIPS Act funding.
The CHIPS Act was a tremendous step towards bringing back American manufacturing, and one of the largest investments has made it possible for Micron to come to our district.
I was joined by 21 other NY Delegation members who each signed this letter, in advocating for Micron.

I was glad to meet with my colleague in the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to discuss our legislative agendas, as well as issues related to our committee. Rep. González does excellent work for Puerto Rico, and I greatly appreciate her perspective.
