A Message from Rep. Brandon Williams:
Our 22nd Congressional District encompasses all of Oneida, Madison, and Onondaga counties, and a sliver of Oswego County. As always, I am working to support families in CNY and the Mohawk Valley, improve our local infrastructure, grow manufacturing, and rein-in energy costs through common sense engineering and business practices. As a Navy Veteran, I stand with and for our veterans. I am protecting Social Security and Medicare for our elderly, and I always speak up for our law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders.

MLK day is not a day for politicians, it’s a day for pastors. We must speak the truth as he did.
”Then your light will appear like the dawn, and your recovery will come quickly. Your righteousness will go before you, and the Lord’s glory will be your rear guard.“ - Isaiah 58:8 CSB

This weekend, I presented a Purple Heart medal and award to the sister of Army Specialists Martin DeHimer, who was killed in Vietnam in March of 1970.
For his gallantry in combat, Martin was awarded the Silver Star and two Bronze Stars (V).
My office pursued this overdue recognition for Specialist DeHimer and celebrated his service at the Rome VFW in the company of other Veterans and his surviving family.
Give your thanks to Specialist DeHimer and his family, here.

James Madison High School in Brooklyn was closed down this Wednesday in order to house nearly 2,000 migrants who had previously been at Floyd Bennett Field.
This short-notice disruption in the lives of American families and the education of American students was the result of numerous successive oversights, at multiple levels of government.
The ongoing migration crisis has been ignored for long enough that now, every state has become a border state, and every city has become a border city.
I joined members of the Education and Workforce Committee in writing to Mayor Adams in hopes that we can receive answers to questions of why a public school was chosen as the site to shelter migrants, whether there are currently any plans to use other public schools to this end, and what will be done moving forward to prepare these facilities to return to educational use.

On Thursday, I was able to stand before Congress and commemorate the life and service of Rear Admiral Brian Davies, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 54.
Admiral Davies, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, was aboard our submarines in the Arctic, Western Pacific, Northern Atlantic, and Indian Oceans. All other details are hidden, even from his own family. His command extended over our most decorated submarine, the USS Jimmy Carter, and we are better for his tireless devotion to America's safety and prosperity.
My deepest condolences are with Brian's wife and daughter, who courageously endured many hardships during his time in the Navy, and who now mourn his loss.

I'm immensely grateful to the brave men and women who keep our communities safe, protect our rights, and uphold justice every day. Though their work is difficult and at times dangerous, the law enforcement officers of our district tirelessly serve the people and families of our district.
Show your support for law enforcement, here.

It turns out that January 10th was "National Cut Your Energy Costs Day..." Sure, there are steps you can take as an individual to lower your energy bill, but this misses the forest for one tree.
The Biden Administration's rush-to-green agenda has resulted in higher energy costs and fewer jobs. If our country is serious about lowering energy costs, about addressing climate needs without leaving the average American in the dust, then it's time to pivot.
My energy plan can be found here. ____________________________________________________________________________
